This is a short video from our first Crawfest in 2021 featuring Big Me, who happen to be returning this year. A great start to Crawfest, however, this year is gonna be bigger and better!!

heard on BBC Radio 1, Radio X, Made in Chelsea, Sky Sports. Seen live on Soccer AM. Featuring dual-lead vocalists Freddie Schmuck (guitar) and Adam Lodge (bass), along with Sam Dowling (lead guitar) and Perrie Bunton (drums), THE FEENS hail from the seaside town of Scarborough. Following the release of their standout single ‘What Are You Dreaming?’, the quartet continue to gain champions and fans alike including notable support and plays from BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart, as well as huge local support from BBC Radio York’s Jericho Keys. In addition, the track clocked up more national radio success via John Kennedy and ex-Maccabee Felix White on Radio X. The station continued their support of ‘WAYD?’ by adding it to their evening playlist on which the single remained for 2 weeks. After a run of impressive shows that included supporting the likes of Inhaler, as well as a debut appearance at YNOT? Festival, the band continues to hone their live performance.

Me have built a reputation of being one of the UK's best cover bands you will ever see! Big Me are a rock solid, five piece band with a modern twist that is not to be missed! Big Me's ability to cover a vast range of music genres is what makes them unique. With a mix of Rock, Rap and Classics - from Eminem to Guns N Roses, Coldplay to Bob Marley, U2 to Prince and pretty much everything else in-between!

Box formed in 1982 with a line-up comprising Simon Toulson-Clark (vocals/guitar), Julian Close (saxophone), Martin Nickson (drums), Rob Legge (bass), Paddy Talbot (keyboards). The group enjoyed success with the independently issued ‘Chenko’ and subsequently signed to WEA Records. This coincided with a reduction in the line-up, from which Clark and Close emerged as a duo. In the summer of 1985, they enjoyed a UK Top 3 hit with  ‘Lean On Me (Ah-Li-Ayo)’. Its Top 10 success was repeated the following year with ‘For America’. Red Box were one of Alan Crawfords favourite bands, so what better way to pay tribute to him than have them play at his own festival. Red Box will be performing an unplugged acoustic set at Crawfest.

House We Built set to headline Friday night at Crawfest 2022! A new band with an amazing first single, Fair Weather Friend. Definitely worth a view on youtube. This band are going to be a massive success in the future.

Alt rock band from Scarborough. Having gained airplay on BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio and a sold out support slot for Pennine Suite, big things are on the horizon for 2022. Recent collaborations with Young Thugs Studio in York mark the upcoming release of their debut single ‘Amsterdam’ out now.“The intensity of their sound is certainly impressive, firing a really compelling and emotive style, we think it will earn a big audience.”

Mcmahon is a commercial singer-songwriter and owner of Puzzle Maker Studios in Bristol, UK. He has a passion and talent for creating compelling and meaningful lyrics accompanied with beautiful vocal harmonies and powerful melodies that make his song writing something special.Previously Danny has toured Europe as a leading vocalist and Guitarist and played at a number of large British venues including Bristol Colston Hall, Camden Roundhouse and Glastonbury festival. Danny has also worked for Paramount songwriting as a commercial songwriter. His passion for Country music began upon introduction to the famous Brad Paisley song ‘Letter to me’. He said he connected with the songs’ realness and authenticity. As he became increasingly fixed upon the way country music uses emotive lyrics and shows such a great level of relatability, Danny thought he’d give writing country music a go, little did he know that he actually had quite a talent for it. This fuelled the beginning of Danny’s pursuit of the country music business. He now wants to use his talent for songwriting to reach people through his music and is currently recording his first EP which has been written, recorded and produced by Danny himself at Puzzle Maker Studios.

out of the starting blocks, BREEZE are a brand new indie rock four-piece hailing from Hull. It goes without saying that indie rock from the north is head hard to measure up to, but before their first single is even out, BREEZE are already turning heads across their native East Yorkshire. Both for their own brand of explosive indie rock, and for the impressive fact the average age of the band is just 17!

Edwina Hayes numbers Michael Parkinson and Nanci Griffith among her fans. Her beautifully written songs and charming stage presence have won her a reputation as a true natural talent of gentle folk-americana. She has opened numerous shows for Jools Holland and Van Morrison and the title song of her album Pour Me A Drink was covered by Nanci Griffith who calls her 'the sweetest voice in England'. "Rocketsmith role out feel good-rock forged in friendship."

When you consider that Rocketsmith’s roots trace back to the rural town of Pickering – which, per head, probably has one of the most vibrant music scenes in the UK – the formation of a band of this ilk makes perfect sense. In a place where there’s little else to do other than go to the pub, play music and be in bands (in this case, all three!), they embody the very nature of reet-good rock’n’roll. A fact that is reflected in the title of the EP ‘Balancing Act‘, which nods to balancing their hectic work lives with their desire to perform.
Collectively they are consummate performers both live and in the studio but strip away the rock’n’roll and you’ll find that Andy is a farmer, Mark’s internet marketer, Anth is a tiler,  Matt is a session musician, traveler and Paul builds trucks. Between them, they’ve played in countless bands over the years, but have always known of their desire to step out of the shadows of the cover and tribute scene with their own original material. A family friendly bunch, led with the track ‘Give Love‘, which stands as a resounding proclamation of all people really need to give to one another – Be it a smile, a laugh, a hug or any simple gesture that can change someone’s life for the better.

Drunk 'N' Funk will be mixing tracks after the live music stops

Crawfest is a great value for money, family friendly music festival, being held at Partings Farm near Scarborough and Pickering in North Yorkshire. The festival is named in memory of Alan Crawford, a friend and colleague that lost his life to covid in 2020. The first Crawfest was held in August 2021 over a single day, with nine different bands and singers performing on stage. We had 550 people attend the event and raised £3500 for charity.

Crawfest 2022 will be held over two days this year on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd of July. The festival will be a much bigger than in 2021, with a full set list of live music on both days with 18 bands booked to perform on a much bigger stage.

There will be various food stands serving all sorts of food, and most importantly, a fantastic bar selling a wide range of craft beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, and soft drinks.

Over the two days there will be stuff to keep the kids entertained, because happy kids means happy parents! We will have a cinema tent showing films throughout the day, a hay bale tent to build towers and make dens, face painting, kids inflatables, and a kids craft tent with pottery and mural painting.

We have a camping field on site for tents and small camper vans next door to the event field, so its only a very short walk back to your tent, allowing you to really make the most of Crawfest, without having to worry about getting home at the end of the night.

Crawfest is a not-for-profit event that donates all profits to charity. Profits from 2022 will be donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The beauty of our small festival is that its all on one enclosed field, therefore providing a safe environment for kids, so parents can really relax. Even the field has amazing far stretching views across the valley.

Please support Crawfest by coming and enjoying our big hearted little festival. Everyone is very welcome!

Where and when can I purchase my Crawfest ticket?

Tickets for Crawfest 2022 are now on sale!

You can only purchase tickets on this website. You will be issued with an E ticket which you will need to show at the gate on your phone or a printed copy, so you can be issued with an appropriate wrist band by a steward, in order to gain entry to the festival site.

Please don't leave it too late to book a camping pitch, as we have limited availability.

Will I be able to purchase a ticket on the day?

Tickets can be purchased on the day, but only if we have availability. In order to avoid disappointment, I would strongly advise you buy tickets in advance.

Can I camp over night?

We have a camping field on the festival site suitable for tents, camper vans up to 7.5m in length, and caravans. When purchasing tickets you will have the option of purchase a camping pitch if there is availability. Camping pitches will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Only those with a pre-purchased camping pitch will be allowed access on the day. We have a strict pre-determined number of camping pitches available, and once they are sold, no further spaces will be available.

Only ONE person in the party sharing the same tent, caravan, or camper van needs to book a camping pitch, so great value for money.

Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Are Camper vans and Caravans allowed?

Camper vans and Caravans up to 7.5m in length are welcome at Crawfest. Unfortunately we cannot cater for vehicles longer than this, or allow awnings or gazebos to be erected alongside vehicles, due to the limited space we have available on site.

Camper vans and Caravans will be parked in lines in a separate area to the camping field with tents. This is so we comply with health and safety requirements.

When can I access the campsite to set up my tent?

Ticket holders that have purchased a camping / campervan pitch, can access the Crawfest campsite from 11am on the day to pitch tents etc, with access to the stage field from midday onwards.

Do I need to pay for children?

Any person over the age of 16 will require an adult ticket.
Children aged 5 - 16 years will require a child's ticket.
Children under 5 are free.

Are dogs allowed at Crawfest?

Yes, we are dog friendly. All we ask is you keep your dog on the lead at all times and clean up after them.

Will there be live music on both the Friday and the Saturday?

There will be a full bill of various bands, singers, artists performing on both days. We have a headline band booked to perform on both days. The line up for each day is listed on the website.

Is there parking on site for those not camping at Crawfest?

We have a large FREE car-park at Crawfest for those not camping overnight. The car-park is positioned at the front of the farm, so easy to exit at the end of a long day when you have tired kids that just want to get home.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Sorry, but no. Due to licensing and health and safety concerns, we cannot allow the public to bring in their own alcohol. This is not so we can hike up the price of drinks, but its because as licence holder's we have a legal responsibility to host an event that is as safe as it can possibly be. If we allow alcohol into the event field, we cannot keep track of how much alcohol people are consuming on site. The bar prices are very reasonable, and inline with what you would pay down your local pub.

Under age drinking will not be tolerated at Crawfest. If anyone under age of 18 years old is found to be consuming alcohol, appropriate action will be taken by our security team immediately.

Can we have our own BBQ's at Crawfest?

Yes, BBQ's are allowed in the campsite, as long as they are raised off the ground and not directly on the grass to reduce the risk of fire. BBQ's will need to be extinguished by 10pm please. BBQ's are not permitted in the main event / stage field due to health and safety requirements.

What is there at Crawfest to keep the kids occupied?

Crawfest is a family festival, so we want to keep the kids happy, because Happy kids mean happy parents!

At Crawfest 2022 we will be having a cinema showing age appropriate films, bouncy castles both for big kids and a smaller castle for the little ones, inflatable jousting, archery, vintage swing boats, various market stalls, and a craft tent with pottery painting, mural painting and loads of other stuff. Having seen the amazing fun that kids had playing in hay bails last year, there will be a dedicated hay bail tent where kids can make dens, race around, and have endless fun!

Why is camping being allocated separately, and not included in the price of the ticket this year?

We have taken the decision to sell camping pitches separately this year as we have limited space. Last year only 500 people attended Crawfest making it possible to include camping for free. This year however, we hope to sell 1500 tickets, and so need to ensure we provide a safe camping space, by limiting the number of pitches in one field in accordance with health and safety legislation.

We also feel that pricing the tickets this way is fairer for those that choose not to camp.

All the proceeds from selling tickets and camping pitches enables Crawfest to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Do under 18's need to be accompanied by an adult?

All under 18's need to be accompanied by an adult at Crawfest.

What facilities will there be for those individuals physically disabled?

At Crawfest we will have disabled toilets and a disabled parking area close to the entrance. Please be aware the festival is on a farm, and so the ground is uneven. However, we will have a team of stewards that will be happy to give any assistance required.

Is there electric hook up or showers available on the campsite?

I'm sorry to say we don't have either facility on the campsite this year. We are trying to keep costs incurred to a minimum, which is reflected in the low ticket price. If people are happy to pay more, or pay to use the service on site, we can certainly look into showers and electric hook up in the future.

Will there be enough toilets?

Last year at our first Crawfest we under catered on the toilet front. We've learn't from this, and this year we will be booking a lot more toilets, and buying a lot more toilet roll!!

We will do our very best to keep the toilets clean for you over the weekend.  However, I would advice bringing a back up toilet roll just in case!  :)

Is the festival safe for small children?

We will have a professional security team on duty 24hrs a day, to ensure Crawfest remains a safe event for everyone. Working alongside the security team, we will also have a large team of stewards to assist you with any issues you may have. Under age drinking will not be tolerated at Crawfest. If this issue is witnessed, or bought to the attention of our staff, immediate action will be taken. Our aim is to make Crawfest a happy, fun, and safe festival for everyone.

Can I get a refund on a purchased ticket?

I'm sorry, but we cannot offer refunds for tickets once purchased.

Do you give a discount to registered carers?

Registered carers attending the festival for an individual with a registered disability, can be issued with a discount code giving you 75% off the price of your ticket. Just get in touch, and we will sort you out a discount.

Please note you will need to provide proof of entitlement on entry to the festival.
